Formed in 1869, the course was designed and created by Mungo Park, who later became a famous golf professional.
The first Captain of the club was Earl Percy MP in October 1869.
Alnmouth Village is the oldest 9 hole links course in England and, many famous names of the past have graced the Alnmouth links, including Harry Vardon,
J.H.Taylor, Tom Morris, and The Prince of Wales.
The Golf Club welcomes visitors on holiday, and also caters for visiting parties.
